Our Summer Plans

For the last few weeks we have been discussing what our plans for this summer will be. As it turns out, Milan will not be able to keep his job on campus over the summer as we had originally planned. So, last week we decided that we will move to Colorado at the end of April, just a few days after Milan's graduation from BYU. We sold our housing contract this past Friday and have to be out of our apartment on Thursday, April 30th.

We have tons of stuff that we want to do here in Utah before we leave, such as:

  1. Attend Hare Krishna Festival of Colors
  2. See a BYU Musical Play or Performance
  3. Go to BYU Planetarium
  4. Eat at Brickoven
  5. Go to the Last BYU Basketball Game of the Season
  6. Get Ice Cream from BYU Creamery on 9th
  7. Spend $330 in Gift Cards at BYU Bookstore (interesting story to be posted later)
  8. See a Movie at Movies 8
  9. Go to Cafe Rio
  10. Eat at Los Hermanos
  11. Spend as much time with family as possible
  12. Have a Movie Date at the Tanner Building on Campus
  13. Go to Provo Temple
  14. Shop at Many Lands for Speciality Brazilian Items
  15. Walk on Campus during Spring
  16. Feed the Ducks at Botany Pond
  17. Walk down Provo River
  18. Visit Bridal Veil Falls/Vivian Park
  19. Watch a Movie at the Varsity Theater on Campus
  20. See a MOA Exhibit
  21. Complete Loaf of Toast Challenge for Preston
  22. Eat at Tucanos

(Yes, we are aware that a lot of these are food related. What can we say? We love to eat!)

If any of you readers (including BYU alum) have any other good ideas, we're open to suggestions. We are hoping to use our blog to document these wonderful happenings, so stay tuned!

*Edit: So all of the items in red are things that we were able to do before leaving Provo. Mirien, we weren't able to make it to Bridal Veil Falls, but would love to do it with your family while we are in Utah during May! What do you think?

And I'm sooo glad you have decided to start a blog...now don't be like your sis and never add anything to it! :) Then again, I'm not all that amazing at keeping mine up either. :) I like your list...good ideas of stuff to do...too bad we didn't think of some of those things when we were so bored before we had maelie, now they're a little difficult to do, but she is SO DEFINATELY worth it. She misses you...she told me so today. Love ya!

Those are great ideas! Makes me want to head down to Provo and join you. Maybe we could hike to Bridal Veil with you--have you done that yet?

That's a great list...were you able to do lots of them? The last month of school (forever, yea!) must have been pretty busy, for both of you.

I love the Provo River Trail. Remember how part of it went right by our old place?

I miss Provo!

Sounds great! Also, we could join you for #10--one of Brian's favorites!
